Green Building Company is delighted to be working once more with Bill Butcher and Chris Herrng, Founding Directors of 21 Degrees, on a timber frame terrace to create a 3 terraced homes on a hillside in Marsden, in the Colne Valley, for themselves, their partners and another couple to live in.

The project is targeting Passivhaus Plus certification and is using a stick-built timber frame construction. Green Building Company is the main contractor on the team, but we have had a very experienced mentor in Mike Whitfield from Herefordshire, who is a master builder and experienced in Passivhaus like ourselves but specifically focused on stick-built timber frame construction.

The project is now on site and the timber frame is going up by the day. We are hoping to make it watertight in the next few weeks. The detailing is innovative and cost-saving. We'll share more photos and write a detailed blog but for now will share some other blogs and articles featuring the project. Like the Denby Dale Passivhaus, the very first Passivhaus we built in 2020, the project is attracting a lot of interest.
